At least half a dozen flights of Jet Airways were cancelled from here today as a large number of pilots did not report to work in protest against sacking of two of their colleagues. Flights from Hyderabad to Chennai, Mumbai, Goa, Delhi and Rajahmundry were cancelled, a Jet Airlines spokesman said here today.
A JetLite flight to Calcutta was also cancelled. However, its international Hyderabad-Dubai flight and a domestic flight to Bangalore are on schedule, the spokesman said.
Jet Airways had last month terminated the services of two of its senior pilots Capt Sam Thomas and Capt Balaraman, saying their services were not required after they along with other formed a trade union body in the company.
