JHI and Montupet S.A. enter into a JV

the company is engaged in the development of automotive cylinder heads in the country

City based aluminium die casting company Jaya Hind Industries Ltd. said it has entered into a joint venture (JV) with a French company Montupet S.A which is a manufacturer of advanced aluminium castings for the automotive industry and is engaged in the development of automotive cylinder heads in India.

 

Product development and engineering will come from the Montupet stable while cost effective manufacturing and knowledge of the market will come from the Jaya Hind Industries' side. As a result of this JV, JHI and Montupet will be able to cater OEM’s in India and other markets like Asia, China, South-East Asia and the Far East.

 

Montupet will benefit from this venture because it will be able to take its manufacturing footprint across Asia in new markets and JHI will have access to Montupet’s technology to manufacture automotive components.

 

“JHI has always been recognised for its focused development of critical automotive parts and believes in equipping itself with world class technology, quality process and systems and training its manpower accordingly. This JV is in line of our strategy of absorbing the same through technical partnerships. It will also give us a benefit of geographic proximity to our customers," Prasan Firodia, MD JHI said. (ENDS)
