| A company official said the Jaipur plant was expected to enhance construction activities in the state. |

| He added that the plant would have a monthly capacity of 500 cubic metres. The use of ready-mix concrete could reduce total construction costs by as much as 15 percent, he added. |

| Viewing the increasing demand for ready-mix concrete, the company is planning to go for some more similar plants near Jaipur. |

| The official said the company had already started working on its plans to enhance the capacity of its power plant. |

| He said the company had decided to increase its yearly capacity from 30 lakh tonne to 35 lakh tonne. |

| Besides this, it would also install a captive power plant worth Rs 150 crore. Installation work for the plant was expected to be over in a years' time. |

| He said the company accounted for 30 percent of the total cement production in the country, which was about 127 million tonne. |

| He said the influx of foreign cement-producing companies in the domestic market should not be perceived as a threat. Several senior officials of the company were present during the occasion. |
