KFC, world's one of the biggest restaurant chain, expects to open 500 outlets by 2015 in India.
"We will be expanding to 500 stores by 2015," KFC India (Director Marketing) Unnat Varma told reporters here.
He said that KFC will be present in 75 cities by that time and will explore bigger cities first before going to smaller markets.
Varma said that they will increase their presence in states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
KFC currently has 86 stores in 16 cities and 35 more stores would be added by this year-end.
"Ten lakh people weekly drop in at KFC's various outlets and bulk of the customers comprise of young adults between 18 and 35 years of age," Varma said.
KFC, which has opened its outlet in Goa recently expects to add another outlet by next year in this tourist state.
