Knight Frank appoints Shishir Baijal as new MD

Knight Frank said Pranay Vakil, who was chairman of the company, decided to retire from the firm

Indian arm of London-based global property consultant Knight Frank today appointed Shishir Baijal as the new country head and managing director. Baijal was a partner with private equity manager Everstone Capital in charge of real estate.

Knight Frank also said Pranay Vakil, who was chairman of the company, decided to retire from the firm.

Pranab Datta will succeed Vakil as chairman having been vice chairman and managing director of the firm for over five years.
Baijal will now be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company.
