Kovai Hills to get 18-hole golf course

Rakindo Developers Pvt Ltd has entered into a contract with Tulip Buildinfra Pvt Ltd to construct an 18-hole golf course at ‘Kovai Hills’, an integrated township being developed by Rakindo in Coimbatore with an investment of around Rs 6,000 crore.
The golf course, spread over 215 acres, will be built at a cost of around Rs 25 crore and is expected to be ready in 24 months, a company release said.
The golf course will also act as an academy. It will have an Olympic-sized swimming pool, gym, flood-lit tennis courts, indoor squash courts and a multi-cuisine restaurant and bar. The golf course has been designed by architect David Hemstock.
