City-based Lalchand Jewellers Limited, one of the largest jewellery showrooms in Asia, has drawn up a plan to set up two exclusive diamond outlets in Delhi and Mumbai.
The two proposed outlets will deal in diamonds, starting at a price of Rs 1 crore.
"We intend to set up two diamond showrooms in Delhi and Mumbai next year. We have already taken up 1,000 sq ft of space for our diamond outlet in Delhi and it will be inaugurated by March next year", said Sanjay Hans, chairman and managing director of Lalchand Jewellers Limited.
The modalities for the showroom in Mumbai are yet to be worked out, but we expect to open it next year, he added.
Lalchand Jewellers is investing Rs 10-12 crore on infrastructure and interior decoration of the proposed showroom in Delhi. Lalchand Jewellers clocked a turnover of Rs 70 crore in 2007-08 and the company's turnover is expected to reach around Rs 90 crore by the end of 2008-09.
“Quality and customer satisfaction have been our cherished goals. We have a professional team which leaves no stone unturned to cater to the needs of our customers”, Hans informed.
On October 3, Lalchand Jewellers held an event in the city in which it awarded about 118 grams of gold to Chayanika Mohanty, the winner of the Tol Mol Ke Bol Contest. The Tol Mol Ke Bol contest for this year continued for one and a half months from August 15 to September, evoking huge response from the customers.
