Coca-Cola, on Tuesday, announced key changes in the leadership of its bottling arm Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) as part of its target to make India among the top five markets for the Atlanta-based softdrink major. Just a month ago, Coca-Cola had announced major reshuffle in its leadership structure for the Indian operations.

The new structure at HCCB will be effective from October 1, 2013.

In a statement, HCCB said that the new structure will work to achieve targets set in the Vision 2020 of Coca-Cola. As part of the vision, HCCB is estimated to contribute up to 65% of the volumes for Coca-Cola in India.

Sanket Ray, who is the zonal vice-president, Gujarat, MP and Rajasthan at present, will take over as Vice-President, Commercial, at HCCB. He will handle key national accounts and will be based in Gurgaon.

Lagan Shastri will take over as the Zonal Vice-President, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and J&K. He was the Vice-President, Commercial at HCCB, earlier. Mayank Arora will become Zonal Vice-President, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Since 2011, Arora has been instrumental in innovative supply chain and commercial initiatives that helped augment share, volume and market execution. Ashutosh Singh will look after the packaged water business and also lead the Public Affairs & Communication function for Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages as Vice President.

All the new positions will continue to report to T Krishnakumar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), HCCB.

“We have made significant investments in the market place. We need to develop a high quality talent pipeline to drive that growth,” Krishnakumar said in a statement, on Tuesday.
