Workers of LML have denied that they have ever been on strike. The firm imposed a lockout from March 7. Workers' representatives told Business Standard they were verbally told not to come to work on February 23. And therefore no worker turned up.
 
LML workmen do not have a viable union since the early nineties, and none of the major unions have even made a serious attempt to enter the field. Nor have various levels of the government shown enough interest in the matter.
