Corporate Affairs Minister M Veerappa Moily on Tuesday said the ministry would “definitely look into” the allegations of financial irregularities in mobile value-added services company, OnMobile. “We will definitely look into it. If there is anything the ministry has to do, it will do. (I) will ask for details from the (ministry) officials,” Moily said. On Monday, OnMobile Managing Director and CEO Arvind Rao resigned from the post, amid allegations of financial irregularities. His resignation was accepted by the board. The company said based on a recently concluded special review by its legal advisers and KPMG, weaknesses had been identified in some processes and “recognising that these weaknesses took place during his tenure, Rao has submitted his resignation”.
