Mohani Tea ties up with Wal-Mart

City-based tea producer and supplier, Mohani Tea Leaves Ltd, has tied up with retail giant Wal-Mart to supply its brand to the latter’s stores in India.

“The venture marks our entry into the extra premium tea segment,” said managing director of Mohani Tea RC Aggrawal, adding, “We expect to supply over 1.5 times our present capacity, once the market catches up for the organised retailers.” The company has also tied up with government agencies like the Indian Railways to launch vending machines and Defence Ministry’s Central Stores Department (CSD) to expand its consumer base.
