Hyderabad-based construction company NCC Limited has reported a 25.8% jump in stand-alone net profit at Rs 60.86 crore for the quarter ended June, 2016 partly helped by the lower finance costs. The company's net profit stood at Rs 48.38 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Total income from operations grew 10.36% at Rs 1,901 core in the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,722.52 crore in the year ago period. The finance costs during the quarter stood at Rs 93.98 crore as compared to Rs 126.60 crore in corresponding previous quarter.
However, there was a decline in top-line as well as in the net profit on a sequential basis. The company reported a net profit of Rs 70.05 crore on the back of Rs 2,452 crore income from operations in the quarter ended March, 2016.
In the first quarter ended June 2016, the company has secured orders aggregating to Rs 3,620 crore. Total order book stood at Rs 19,045 crore, according to the company.
