Pune-based Neilsoft Limited intends to serve its international and domestic clients from Ahmedabad, which was on Wednesday announced as the second major centre in the country by the company.

"Our engineering centre in Ahmedabad will service Indian customers and some international customers of Neilsoft in the construction, process and manufacturing segments," said Ketan Bakshi, managing director, Neilsoft Limited.

Aiming to increase its clientele, the company will ramp up team size from the existing 45 to 300 by April 2018 in Ahmedabad alone. By the end of financial year 2015-16, it will add over 100 new employees in Gujarat.

He said, "Our initial experiences have been very positive. The talent pool available and the vibrant market we see in Gujarat convinced us to scale-up our presence in Ahmedabad."

Regarding the overall industry scenario, Bakshi said, "Our biggest challenge is to get skilled manpower in India. We are presently hiring people and polishing their skills for us."

Ingsophy, a subsidiary of Neilsoft Ltd. and an engineering consulting firm with a charter to service the growing buildings and urban development needs of the India market, has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chicago-based Environmental Systems Design, Inc (ESD) to service the India market needs for high-performance building engineering.

Joining hands with ESD will leverage their expertise and experience in the engineering of high-performance buildings in the India market, the company said. ESD's services will be valuable for owners and developers who choose high-performance over low-cost of engineering, said Bakshi.

Established in 1967, ESD is a service provider in the field of consulting, engineering, technology, and commissioning. Some of the projects executed by ESD include Boeing Headquarters (Chicago), Kingdom Tower (Jeddah), Masdar Headquarters (Abu Dhabi), Bharat Diamond Bourse (Mumbai), Shenzhen Aviation Plaza (China), One Dubai (Dubai), among others.

Raj Gupta, chief executive officer of ESD said, "With this association, we hope to expand our reach in India and leverage Ingsophy's local resources and experience to deliver high-performance at optimised costs."
