NIIT has launched a new certificate programme in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to help companies have a smoother IFRS convergence. IFRS compliance will be mandatory from 2010.

The course, which is meant for senior finance professionals, will be offered through 22 NIIT Imperia centres for advanced learning in 19 major cities of India. The course will help them to understand accounting and disclosure requirements under IFRS and differences in Indian GAAP and IFRS.
