OnePlus expands offline presence; partners Croma Retail for sales

In a move to establish itself in the offline retail market, China-based smartphone manufacturer OnePlus on Monday announced it was partnering with Croma Retail for the sale of its smartphones and accessories.

The OnePlus 5 is the first smartphone that will be available at select Croma Retail stores across India from September 19 onwards. The company is offering OnePlus Bullets V2 earphones and a Flip Cover with every purchase. For existing OnePlus 5 users, the company is offering a free Flip Cover available only if the customer visit Croma Retail store.

This move from OnePlus came after the company revised its sales and marketing strategy for India and opened OnePlus Experience Zone, which are offline sales channel cum experience hub for OnePlus products, to reach consumers through offline channels.

The OnePlus smartphones were initially available exclusively through Amazon India. Now, the smartphones and accessories can be purchased through OnePlus Store, experience zone and Croma Retail stores.
