Mobile caller tune service provider OnMobile today reported a net profit of Rs 1.2 crore, up from Rs 0.16 crore loss made in the June quarter.
The Value Added Service provider witnessed decline in revenue year-on-year basis at Rs 206.9 crore in September quarter against Rs 207.4 crore last year. Sequentially, however, revenue improved by 2.6%.
Though the company managed to improve cut cost on employee salaries, its payment of royalty to music companies grew continuously. During the quarter, the company reported an operating profit (EBIT) of Rs 2.2 crore, up from losses in previous quarters.
The Bengaluru-based company has won major contracts from Airtel for its India as well as African operations to provide caller tune services, it said in an exchange filing.
