Chennai-based bakery and restaurant chain firm Oriental Cuisines Private Ltd (OCPL) is planning to open around 50 more stores by 2015, to take the overall count to 100 stores across three states.
For this, it sees an investment of Rs 40-50 lakh a store, said a senior executive of the company.
"We are celebrating the opening of our 50th bakery store under the brand name- The French Loaf. We will have at least 100 bakery stores by the middle of 2015," said Narendra Malhotra, chief executive officer of OCPL.
The funding requirement would be met from internal accruals and existing investors, he said. Private equity player Peepul Capital had invested in the company in 2007.
