Mid-cap IT products and services company Persistent System today announced the acquisition of Australia's Salesforce partner and cloud application development firms, PRM Cloud Solutions. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Based outside Perth, the systems integrator is a certified Salesforce consulting partner, engaged in building digital experiences on Salesforce1 cloud platform.

"Digital is built on three pillars; data, APIs and platforms. This acquisition further strengthens our ability to lead our customers on their journey to digital with Salesforce as one of those key platforms," said Anand Deshpande, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director.

PRM primarily focuses on healthcare, construction and property management, with key customers that include Honda, Rio Tinto, Furniture Options, Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), Synergy and Workpower.

"PRM has local expertise in building new digital experiences for organisations in Australia. Combined we have the global ability to scale, while strengthening Persistent's platform-centric approach to digital transformation with Salesforce as one of the dominant platforms in Australia," said Ashish Bhuta, head of sales Australia.

Persistent has said that acquisition will be key as the company focuses on the digital technology landscape. In Januray this year, it announced the acquisition of two units of US-based cloud software firm Citirix Systems-- CloudPlatform and CloudPortal Business Manager.
