He was India's former ambassador to the US

Tata Motors today said India's former ambassador to the US, Ranendra Sen has resigned from the company's board as non-executive director.
In a filing to the BSE, the company said: "Ranendra Sen non-executive director has resigned from the board and ceased to be a director of the company."
When contacted, a company spokesperson said Sen has resigned due to personal reasons.
