Ratan Tata, Ramadorai in new TCS board

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, the jewel in the Tata group's crown, has a new board of directors. Ratan N Tata, non-executive chairman of Tata Sons, along with S Ramadorai and Aman Mehta, have joined the board.

S Ramadorai is the chief executive officer of Tata Consultancy Services, currently a division of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Rs 52,000 crore plus Tata group.

Aman Mehta at present is an independent non-executive director of Wockhardt, PCCW Ltd, Hong Kong and Raffles Holdings Ltd, Singapore. SH Rajadhyaksha is the company secretary and compliance officer of TCS Ltd.

The earlier board members of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (formerly known as Orchid Print India, into which the software division was merged), Kaushik Chatterjee, Sanjay Dube and Atul Bansal, have resigned from the company with effect from May 5.

The board of TCS Ltd will undergo further expansion once the IPO is through.
