Rinke Khanna buys plush Mumbai home for Rs 26 crore

The apartment has a saleable Area of 5000 sq ft and carpet area of 3000 sq ft, sources said

In one of the celebrity real estate deals, former Bollywood Actress Rinke Khanna, youngest daughter of late superstar Rajesh Khanna, has bought a plush apartment in Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai for Rs 26 crore, said a source in the know.

Khanna has bought the five-bedroom apartment in Signia Isles in BKC, which is one of the most expensive properties developed by Sunteck Realty in Mumbai.

The apartment has a saleable Area of 5000 sq ft and carpet area of 3000 sq ft, sources said.

Leading Bollywood actresses such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor also bought properties in the residential project.

Signia Isles has about 75 apartments and 80 per cent of those have been sold out.

According to sources, British Telecom company Vodafone and Danon Nutrition have also leased apartments in the building and pay over Rs 6 lakh as rent.

Last year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan bought a 5000 sq ft apartment in the same property for Rs 21 crore.

The residential complex of Sunteck has three towers-- Signature Island, Signia Isles and Signia Pearl.

Another actress Sonam Kapoor bought a 7,000 sq ft duplex apartment in Signature Island project developed by Sunteck Realty in the same area for over Rs 35 crore.

In 2013, former CITI Group head Vikram Pandit and former Deutsche Bank co-chief executive officer of Asia/Pacific, Gunit Chadha, had bought apartments in the same building in G Block of Bandra-Kurla Complex.
