Sartorius India, provider of process and laboratory equipment to the biotechnology segment, has set up a new palnt on the outskirts of Bangalore.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Amit Chatterjee, managing director, Sartorius India said the new plant, involving an investment of Rs 45 crore, will enable the company to create and develop new process technologies and custom-tailor them for firms engaged in R&D and development of biopharmaceuticals.
With annual sales of Rs 160 crore, Sartorius India has a staff strength of 500 members in India. Sartorius Group, headquartered in Germany, focuses on fermentation, filtration, purification, fluid management and laboratory applications in the biotechnology segment.
