Satyam Computer Services Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Srinivas Vadlamani tendered his resignation today. The board, however, is yet to accept it, said company interim Chief Executive Officer Ram Mynampati at a press conference here.

At first, he maintained that Vadlamani skipped the press conference for personal reasons and that he was at home but constantly in touch with the company leadership. Later, he admitted that Vadlamani resigned today.

"We are assessing the situation and will look to appoint an interim CFO immediately,'' he said without specifying who the incumbent would be.

He said there are a number of people in-house, who fit the bill but the company would not rule out appointing an external CFO.
