Shree Renuka Sugars today said its consolidated net profit jumped twenty-four times to Rs 260 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009, over the same period previous fiscal.
Total income rose to Rs 1,443.7 crore in the first quarter ended December, against Rs 402.8 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Shree Renuka Sugars said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On the standalone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 194.7 crore for the quarter ended December, a jump of 19-fold from Rs 10 crore in the same quarter last year.
Shares of Shree Renuka Sugars were trading at Rs 234 on the BSE, up 1.12 per cent from its previous close.
