Shriram EPC has signed MoU with China based North west Electric Power Design Institute (NWEPDI) to form a consortium for the excution of thermal power projects to be implemented on an EPC basis in India. Shriram EPC will be the lead partner in the consortium.
NWEPDI specialises in design, consultation and EPC projects in the field of power engineering design, EPC contracts or power, exploration and survey and environmental impact asessment. It has been involved in a large number of coal plants domestically and overseas ranging from 25MW to 1000 MW.
The MoU is in place for a period of five years and can be extended depending on circumstances.
