Skyblue Aviation to open flying schools

| Vijay told mediapersons that Skyblue was looking for a 300-acre site in a tier II city in south India for setting up the proposed aviation university involving an investment of Rs 100 crore. At present, Skyblue is functioning through a 6,000-sft facility in Hyderabad, which includes a cabin mock-up for training cabin crew. |
| According to Vijay, the Perth flying school currently has all the required infrastructure comprising three new Cessna aircraft, a flight simulator, flight training offices and a despatch centre. |
| Flying training for the first batch of 25 students will commence by September, this year. By May 2009, the fleet strength will be increased to 24 Cessna aircraft and six twin engine Piper aircraft. |
| To start with, Skyblue is offering three diploma courses in cabin crew operations, airport staff operations and airline pilot operations. The fee for the pilot training course is Rs 20 lakh. |
