To incur an investment of Rs 3,000 crore
Having launched a five-star hotel property each in Shirdi and Ahmedabad, Pune-based hospitality player, St Laurn Hotels & Resorts is planning to come up with a slew of similar projects in future. By 2015, the company plans to set up around 20 hotels for an investment of Rs 3,000 crore, most of which are likely to come up in northern part of the country.
Talking about the company's future plans, Lakshman Kariyaa, managing director, of St Laurn Hotels & Resorts said, "We intend to come up with at least 20 hotel properties by 2015 for which we are planning an investment of Rs 3,000 crore. Around Rs 1,000 crore of the total investment will be from internal accruals."
Out of the 20-odd hotels, the company plans to set up five more in Gujarat. "We have zeroed in on a property in Surat and will soon begin the construction work. After that, our next hotel project will come up in Vadodara, followed by Jamnagar and Rajkot, apart from a second property in Ahmedabad," Kariyaa said. St Laurn Hotels & Resorts would be investing around Rs 500 crore for the five properties which will add up 500 rooms in the state.
