StanChart appoints Sumit Choudhary as emerging cos research head

Choudhary to join StanChart after a 7-yr stint with the asset management firm Och-Ziff

Standard Chartered today said it has appointed Sumit Choudhary as the head of emerging companies research for the country.

Choudhary, who joins after a seven year stint with the asset management firm Och-Ziff, will jointly report to Jeremy Sutch, head of emerging companies research and Rahul Singh, who heads the equity research in the country, the global bank said in a statement.

He also previously worked in the investment banking division of Citigroup in India, where he was involved in private equity capital raising and Mergers and Acquisitions, it said.
