Tata Engg Q1 Net Loss Mounts To Rs 98.9 Crore

Tata Engineering has announced a net loss of Rs 98.90 crore in the first quarter of 2001-02, against a loss of Rs 74.34 crore during the corresponding period of last year.

Its net sales between April-June 2001 declined 5.6 per cent to Rs 1,697.38 crore, due to a 24.45 per cent decline in export volumes and a 21.90 per cent fall in sales of commercial vehicles.

However, the company
