K K Birla group company Texmaco today reported 31 per cent rise in the net profit to Rs 29.4 crore for the quarter ended September 30, over the corresponding period a year back.
The company had a net profit of Rs 22.3 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2009, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The total income of the firm for Q2 2010-11 was Rs 244 crore over Rs 241.7 crore during the same period in 2009-10.
The net profit of Texmaco for the half-year ending September 30, was Rs 58.31 crore over Rs 43.21 crore in the same period a year back, it said.
Its total income for the first half of the current fiscal was Rs 447.6 crore, over Rs 425.1 crore for the corresponding period of 2009-10. The company share closed at Rs 66.5, up 2.4 per cent on the BSE.
