TI Cycles of India, part of the Chennai-based Rs 7,340-crore Murugappa Group, has launched BSA Go, its unique bicycle and fitness equipment store, in Thrissur.

The company said that the 3,600-square feet three-level BSA Go store had been licensed to Chakkapai Cycle Stores at Veliyannur in Thrissur.

This first-of-its-kind store in Kerala is a one-stop store for all bicycling and fitness equipment requirements. BSA Go promotes cycling as a health and lifestyle option among consumers, it added.

According to M A Alagappan, vice-chairman, Murugappa Group, and chairman of Tube Investments of India Ltd, "With the changing retail landscape and consumer shopping habits, we believe that it is necessary to re-define the bicycle shopping experience in the country. The BSA Go stores aim to do this and also set a new benchmark that is on par with international stores."

G Ramprasad, president, TI Cycles, said, "The unique design and the wide product range available will set BSA Go stores apart and make them the preferred destination for bicycles and fitness products in Thrissur."

The BSA Go store has on display a range of BSA and Hercules brands of bicycles. In addition to bicycles, the store will soon be offering a wide-range of high-end fitness equipment and accessories, the company said.
