The first store for the same was set up in Bangalore last year. The company is now rolling out the chain nationally and plans to set up over 200 stores in the next 3 years.
Titan Eye+ is the retail chain of stores under the prescription eyewear business offering products such as frames, lenses and allied optical services .
The stores will also offer a number of licensed brands in the high end and fashion segment of sunglasses an eyewear apart from selling its own Dash (children's spectacle frames) and Eye+.
The total eyewear market in India is pegged at Rs 2,000 crore of which only about 10 per cent is in the organised segment.
Titan is hoping to benefit from the fact that there is no clear market leader in the prescription eyewear market.
According to industry estimates, the eyewear market in India is growing around 15-20 per cent per year.
