On Saturday, Fernandes had taken everybody by surprise after he tweeted that he had decided to quit from Twitter and April 30 would be his last day. “Reaching 50 years. Think I spend too much time on it. It has been awesome but time to move on. April 30 will be my last day on Twitter. But will be at my best till then. Only one will be the same after that day and I am a superhoop,” he had tweeted on Saturday. Fernandes started tweeting on December 7, 2008. He has used the network very effectively till now. All major announcements about the airline, offers, discussion on the industry, on his favourite sport activities, industries, birthday wishes, workout in gyms, investors’ road show, anything and everything has been discussed on his account. On Friday, he started a discussion on nuclear power, tweeting, “What is everyone’s view on nuclear power?”An AirAsia official, who did not want to be named, once said that "if you want to know all about AirAsia and need a comment from him (Tony), log on to his twitter, it is the best way?.
