UST Global to double its headcount to 3,000 in Chennai

Company's centre in Chennai caters to healthcare, retail, manufacturing, BFSI and logistics industries

UST Global, a leading provider of IT services and solutions, today said that it plans to expand it's global delivery centre in Chennai by doubling headcount to 3,000 over the next two years.

"We have invested in the overall infrastructure of the centre to strengthen its service delivery capabilities for both global and Indian customers," said the company which did not disclose the investment numbers.

UST Global's Chennai centre has been serving customers across the healthcare, retail, manufacturing, BFSI and logistics industries.

Sunil Balakrishnan, global head, centre operations, UST Global, in a statement said "the Chennai centre expansion is aligned to our strategy of expanding UST Global's capability by leveraging talent across geographies, widen our footprint and broaden services to our clients, globally and locally."

Headquartered in California, UST Global has 10,000 employees in India, spread across centres Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Gurgaon.

In the last six months, UST Global has made three strategic acquisitions, invested in innovative technology and executive level hires. It also recently invested in Trulioo, a global identification verification solutions company.
