Whirlpool Sells Faridabad Unit To Bright Brothers

Whirlpool of India has sold its plastic component manufacturing facility based at Faridabad, Haryana, to Mumbai-based injection moulding firm Bright Brothers Ltd.

The acquisition of the unit raises Bright Brothers' annual polymer processing capacity by 2,000 tonne and is expected to add Rs 21 crore to its turnover in a full year.

Bright Brothers will now supply plastic components to the white goods major, a company release stated.

The Brite Group was established in 1947 by T W Bhojwani. Currently, the group, with companies such as Bright Brothers Ltd and Brite Automotive and Plastics Ltd in its fold is a multi-faceted corporation with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at Mumbai, Tarapur (Maharashtra), Sohna (Gurgaon), Pithampur (Madhya Pradesh) and Pondicherry.

The products manufactured and marketed by Brite have evolved from plastic containers and multi-utility products - all under the Brite brand name.

Brite currently manufactures houseware in the categories of kitchenware, bathroomware, general plasticware and thermoware.

The latest precision moulding techniques are used and the group's facilities are continuously upgraded through the practice of kaizen thereby reiterating the group's commitment to quality.
