AAt a press conference to address the food safety concerns over the Maggi noodle brand, Nestle's global CEO Paul Bulcke said that the noodles are safe for consumption. He also added that the multi-national food and beverage giant will not challenge the testing methodologies of the Indian authorities. Here are highlights of Bulcke's statement to the Indian media:
1. Maggi is safe for consumption. We have the same quality standards everywhere in the world

4. No lead found in 1,000 Maggi batches tested internally

6. I am very confident that we will be back as soon as possible. That is our prime objective

7. Product quality and safety is of paramount priority

8. We don't have data from any of the third party tests conducted on Maggi

9. India is important to Nestle and that's why I am here. To see where we are and take the right decisions

10. Not going to pull Maggi noodles from shelves in UK or any other country
