The Kerala chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in partnership with the state government, would be organising a global agro meet during May 29-31. The meet includes conference, exposition and B2B meetings focusing on agriculture and food processing.
The CII Kerala is also organising a business promotion mission to Sri Lanka during March 16-19. The objective of the mission is to identify business, investment, joint venture and trade opportunities in sectors like coconut products, value addition in vegetables, agriculture, food processing and marine products, said CJ George, chairman of CII Kerala.
Addressing a press conference, he said the CII was also planning to bring out a compilation of best practices adopted as CSR activities in Kerala. With this publication, CII intends to provide guidance to organisations planning to invest in CSR activities, especially in the light of mandates introduced through the new Companies Bill 2012.
