Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised a road-show on EXCON 2013 - India's premier event for the construction equipment industry--to be held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore from November 20-24, 2013.

The CII Chhattisgarh spokesperson informed that over 600 exhibitors including 200 foreign companies are likely to participate in the Excon that would be organised in a sprawling area spread across 220,000 square meters.

In his presentation on Excon 2013, T R Bharathan, Member, EXCON 2013 Steering Committee informed that this would be the seventh edition of the EXCON; the inaugural edition of which was held in 2000.

The show would be the largest event on all counts including the number of domestic and overseas visitors, exhibition area and new project launches, the biggest difference will be the presence of enhanced foreign players. There will be country pavilions for the leading economies like China, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Turkey and Finland, Bharathan added.

Excon 2013 would also have a large presence of SMEs in the component and aggregate manufacturing, showcasing India's potential as a preferred outsourcing destination for construction equipment manufacturing.
