Delhi University cut offs are the stuff of legend and it does not disappoint this year either. The first cut-off for this academic year was published late Wednesday night, which not surprisingly touched 100%, this year. Cut-offs of two colleges, College of Vocational Studies (CVS) and IP College for Women (IP), for BSc(Hons) Computer Science hit the perfect score.

Some colleges displayed caution this time and lowered their cut offs slightly from last year. Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) is one of them. At SRCC, the cut-off for Economics (H) is 98.25 and for B. Com. it is 97.37.

Though in Lady Shri Ram (LSR) college cut off is slightly higher than last year. Cut offs for English (H) and journalism have risen by a whole 1% this year, reaching 98.25 and 97 respectively.

This year DU recieved around 3.7 lakh applications, in which 28,999 have scored 90-95 per cent and 6,850 are within 95- 100 per cent in five subjects, forcing the officials to raise the cut-offs.

Student community does not seem that surprised at the soaring cut offs this year. Many took to twitter to express their frustration veiled in sarcasam, saying all of this is pretty much what they expected.
