In a tweet on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed people about a special section under the Ministry of External Affairs website that will keep people updated with International Yoga Day programmes across the world. The webpage, aimed at promoting yoga, disseminates yoga-related news and updates.
The page also contains videos and documentaries. It has a section called 'Social Media' that collects tweets pertaining to the International Yoga Day events.

The government had announced June 21 as International Yoga Day, on which it will organise yoga-related events in 192 countries.

In Delhi, an early morning yoga programme is scheduled at Rajpath, in which 35,000 school children and diplomats are expected to participate. However, Modi is not expected to perform yoga on the day, according to some reports quoting Sushma Swaraj saying that the PM would only address gathering.

The other big programme will be held at New York's Times Square, where 30,000 people will be led through the poses by yoga guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. It will be beamed live.
