Britain's Prince William, other royals arrive in Scotland to be with Queen Elizabeth

British royals including Queen Elizabeth's grandson Prince William and her sons Princes Andrew and Edward have arrived in Scotland by plane to be with the ailing monarch, television footage showed on Thursday.

 

They will now make their way to Balmoral Castle, around an hour's drive away from Aberdeen Airport where they landed.

If India had followed path shown by Netaji, it would have reached a new high: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said if India had followed the path shown by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, then it would have reached a new high.

 

Speaking after inaugurating Kartavya Path, the stretch of road from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate earlier known as Rajpath, Modi said the renaming has given the country a new energy and inspiration.

 

He said that Kingsway or Rajpath, a symbol of slavery, has now been consigned to history and has been erased forever.

 

"If India had followed path shown by Subhas Chandra Bose, then country would have reached a new high; sadly he was forgotten," he said.

The eye donations and transplantations have been badly hit by Covid, according to an expert on Wednesday. However, the situation has seen an improvement with the decline in the Covid cases in the country.

Dr JS Titiyal, Chief of RP Centre, AIIMS, Delhi said, "Covid really killed the eye donation movement in the country during the first wave of Covid. If Covid wave was going up, the collection or donation of eyes was going down."

Dr Titiyal said that he had hoped to touch 3,000 transplantations per year, however, due to Covid, the target will take another nearly three years to achieve.
