Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Friday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not differentiating between cash and black money.

Addressing a public rally here, Rahul said, "Prime Minister Modi doesn't understand that all cash is not black money. The daily wage of a paid labourer and shopkeepers is not black money. The black money he is busy looking for in poor men's pockets is hidden in foreign bank accounts."

He added that the Prime Minister has failed in providing jobs to the youth as only one lakh jobs are being generated a year instead of two crore jobs as promised by him.

"I don't know what is causing prices of fuel to rise in India when it's going down everywhere else in the world," Rahul said.

He further said Gujarat's 90 percent colleges and universities are private and this is the only state in India where 15,000 government schools have been shut.

Rahul, who was on his third day visit to south Gujarat today, claimed that the Congress would ease the land acquisition laws if voted to power.

He said the biggest corruption in the present government was in acquiring lands of poor farmers for favouring big industrialists.

The two-phase assembly election in Gujarat is scheduled on December 9 and 14.

Results will be declared on December 18.
