Vinesh Phogat wins in 48kg freestyle event at Rio Olympics

Vinesh Phogat began her Rio Olympics wrestling campaign overpowering Romania's Emilia Alina Vuc 11-0 in the Freestyle 48 kg 1/8 round match here on Wednesday.

Phogat was dominant from the very beginning and won on the basis of Great Superiority, a difference of or 10 technical points -- the loser without points, at the Carioca Arena 2 - Mat A.

The 21-year-old will now face China's Yanan Sun in the 1/4 round match.
