The word "secular" is the biggest "lie" that has been told since the independence, Chief Minister of India's largest state, Yogi Adityanath said on Monday in Raipur. Claiming that the word "Paki" was the biggest insult used in Europe, he further added that “distorting history was no less a crime than sedition”, an Indian Express report said.

At a function organised by Dainik Jagran group in Raipur Adityanath said that those who coined and use the word secular should apologise to the people of this country.  He further added that no establishment can be truly secular, the government can be unbiased to the people but cannot be devoid of 'religion.

'Paki' and 'Pakistan' have become a scornful word in Europe and these words are used as abuse in there, he said.

The Congress, Adityanath said, played the politics of appeasement with the people and divided the people on the lines of caste, region and language. The scourge of appeasement politics gave birth to naxalism and separatism in the country, he said.

He further claimed that BJP government was Ram Rajya and lauded PM Modi to lead the country towards progress, NDTV report said
