'No problems to industrialists due to ongoing agitations'

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah said the Government is assuring the industry of the State that there would not be any problems for business due to the ongoing Telangana and United Andhra Pradesh agitations.

"These problems (agitations) have arisen in the recent past. I am confident that the Government of India will sort out these problems very soon," Rosaiah told mediapersons on the sidelines of a conference on Natural Gas organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here today.

Replying to a question on Lagadapati Rajagopal joining in NIMS yesterday and subsequent tense moments in Hyderabad and across the State, he said that the law and order situation is very well under control.

Earlier, addressing the gathering in the conference, Rosaiah said that a total 645 km pipeline infrastructure in Vijayawada town and around 2.25 lakh domestic connections will be provided in the next five years.

As many as 1,000 connections will be provided by July 2010 and the first CNG station in Kakinada will be functional from next month.

He requested the Central government o expedite the process of revival of Ramagundam fertiliser manufacturing unit by allocating gas from KG basin.
