Planning Commission Member Syeda Hameed held discussions with state government officers led by Chief Secretary S S Parmar regarding the approach to be adopted by the state for finalising the Eleventh Five Year Plan yesterday.

Hameed discussed the requirements of the state during the current plan period and asked about the major thrust areas in the next plan, official sources said.

The state government stressed that the social sector, which had been accorded top priority in earlier plans, should be given a major push for balanced and uniform growth.

Parmar briefed Hameed about the state's achievements in various sectors, its priorities and future plans.
