Andhra says no to hike in bus fares

The duo called on the chief minister at the secretariat. They said the rise in fuel cost would put an additional burden of Rs 337 crore on the corporation annually. This year, the burden would be Rs 305 crore, they said. The chief minister asked the APSRTC to not to hike the fares and suggested that it explore avenues to enhance its non-traffic avenues. He said the government was already reimbursing the corporation Rs 446 motor vehicle tax.
