BSNL today said it was in the process of completing the bidding exercise of its mega 45.5 million GSM mobile line tender at the earliest.

"The evaluation process is on. We are trying to complete the process at the earliest. The entire exercise is at an advanced stage. No final decision has yet been taken on the selection of the five shortlisted vendors as the exercise is not yet complete," BSNL CMD AK Sinha said.

"We had sought some clarification from these five vendors - Nokia, Motorola, Siemens, Ericsson and ZTE - and they are in the process of giving that to us. Exchange of clarification is not a derailment to the process. It may take one or two days outside the scheuled time frame but not more than that," Sinha said.

BSNL is in the process of awarding contract to two equipment vendors for its 45.5 million GSM tender.
