Stating that adequate security was provided to advocate Anjali Waghmare, who is representing Kasab, the lone arrested terrorist in the November 26 terror strikes, Home Minister Jayant Patil today said it was upto the court to decide if she should be replaced.
"Apparently, Waghmare is representing a victim of Mumbai attack seeking compensation. She is a wife of a Police Sub Inspector. I think the court may not be knowing about it. Now it is upto the court whether to replace her or not," Patil told PTI.
"Keeping last night's protests in mind, we have provided adequate security to Waghmare," he added.
A mob of around 100 persons staged demonstration outside Waghmare's house last night, following which she today decided to pull out from the case.
