Courts Should Keep Off Economic Policy Matters : Supreme Court

The disinvestment process got a big boost on Monday when the Supreme Court upheld the Bharat Aluminium Company (Balco) sell-off and said that courts should keep away from economy policy matters.

The court also restricted its power of judicial review in economic policies and said it would interfere only if the policy was contrary to the Constitution or any other law.
